The referee.. the referee.. omg.. enough now witb the referee. Is that even an excuse when there were a few referees including linesman and a few overseeing the TMO so No it was Not the Referee's fault. Own your teams mistakes like men and find a way to move forward!! Springboks did not win 4 world cups because they are incompetent or stupid. Rugby is like a game of chess where you outsmart your opponent. France was outsmarted. End of story!

Some players shine at club level . They are amazing to watch play in top 14 , urc , premier ship , and others struggle , but when the big moments come they say hold my beer it is my time to shine .

This is just the best Rugby show of all time. After playing for 18 years and being a lifelong Rugby fan, I can say this with confidence.

Played against him from U13, everyone always knew he'd be a record breaker

When Pollard burst onto the scene the Kiwis commented on what a good tackler he was and how he took the ball to the line. He does that less now with Damian playing that role but he's really good at it.

Look the Boks are still gonna roll out Morne steyn every 12 years to beat the lions. Even with a Zimmer frame 😂

It's a thesis I suppose. Pollard's form is certainly a reflection of that of the Boks: typically bog average in regular competition but turns up in (most of) the big games.

So many Leicester Tigers losses feel like wins, because of pollard - he honestly just oozes class, composure and leadership. Never looks phased, does things at his own pace, makes good decisions most times and what a reliable boot. He's not a small guy either, not afraid to play crashing Flyhalf role everyone in a while.

Its like Pollard said at half time in the final that the ABs have nothing to lose so they're gonna throw it all in and come hard..

We have come a long way. There were days when non whites never under rugby and for me at age 53 remembering all that and seeing these youngsters of all races and ages celebrating their history I cannot be more proud
